Do You Know?

Studies of bisphenol-S, the chemical compound sometimes used to replace bisphenol-A in "BPA-free" plastic products, found it is disruptive not only to the body's hormone system but to brain circuitry in developing animal embryos.

Known to mimic estrogen, BPA and BPS are not the only synthetic chemicals found in hard plastic and certain resins that do so. (Close relatives include Bisphenol B, C, E, F, G, M. P, PH, TMC, and Z.) In laboratory tests, 95 percent of hundreds of ordinary plastic products put through "real world" conditions, such as through a microwave or dishwasher, tested positive for leaching estrogenic chemicals. Since companies are under no obligation to tell consumers what chemicals are used in the manufacture of their product, many health experts say the best thing to do is avoid contact with household plastics altogether.

With the caveat that it is nearly impossible to not be exposed to plastic in the course of a day, here are two lists. The first contains a selective list of plastic items or products that contain plastic resins that experts say you should limit your exposure to or sanitize your hands after touching. The second list contains a selective list of safe alternatives

- plastic food storage containers

- food wrap

- hard and flexible packaging

    Great box!

My son (10) brought this with his own money and he loves it! It motivates him to pack his own healthy lunch each day and he looks forward to going to school because of it! Win, win.

    Containers great.

    Double layer lunch box.

Really nice lunch box my 11 year old son is really enjoying using it for school. This is our second lunch box with 3 kids getting a third soon. this time we got a bigger one and my son is so happy with it. daughter is happy with smaller. Depends how much your kid eats but we have found bigger lunch box abit better for school. Also really like the fact you can pay it off weekly and we received it in the post so fast.

    Absolutely Brilliant

I purchased these for my family so we can use them for School lunches to day trips to the beach and everything in between. They are amazing, easy to clean and can hold lots of food. Absolutely love them, definitely recommend!

Great quality product however room for improvement. I got two of the double layered lunchboxes and still find its small to fit lunches in esp since i got them to be zero waste as many get these for that purpose and need to use reusable containers or beeswax wraps instead of gladwrap (are thicker). Also the small metal container it comes with doesnt seal properly and wont hold the kids yoghurt just ends up coming home in a mess so ive had to remove and due to the size i cant put anywhere else. Will continue to use, appreciate the quality, but feel im having to 'make' it work
